1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of Brainteasers Academy (the "Game"), operated by Nom Nom Games, Lda ("we", "us"), a company registered in Portugal. By playing the Game on our website or on Facebook Instant Games, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not play.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country to use online services). On Facebook, you must also comply with Meta's own terms and age requirements.
3. Your account
On Facebook, an anonymous account is created automatically when you first play. On the website, you may play anonymously or sign in with your email. You are responsible for activity under your account. We cannot recover an anonymous account if its session data is lost or cleared on your side.
4. Username and avatar
You may change your username and avatar. They are visible to other players in leaderboards and challenges. Do not choose names or avatars that are offensive, hateful, sexual, misleading, that impersonate someone, or that contain personal information. We may change or remove any username or avatar, and suspend accounts that break this rule.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: cheat, exploit bugs, or use bots or scripts to solve puzzles or climb leaderboards; interfere with or overload the Game or its servers; attempt to access data or accounts that are not yours; reverse engineer the Game except where the law allows; or use the Game for any unlawful purpose. We may reset scores, remove leaderboard entries and suspend accounts in case of abuse.
6. Ads and purchases
The Game may show ads and offer optional purchases, such as puzzle packs, which unlock content only and give no competitive advantage. On Facebook, ads and payments are provided and processed by Meta and are subject to Meta's terms, including its refund policies. Purchased content is licensed to you, not sold, for personal use in the Game.
7. Our content and intellectual property
The Game, including its puzzles, texts, artwork, stories, code and branding, belongs to Nom Nom Games, Lda or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play the Game. You may share screenshots and your results, and challenge your friends, for non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, republish or commercially exploit the puzzles or other content without our written permission.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Game available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, change, suspend or discontinue the Game or any feature, including puzzles, modes, rewards and leaderboards, at any time.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Game is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of progress or data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer.
10. Termination
You can stop playing at any time, and you can request deletion of your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to play after an update means you accept the new Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
